Plant Description and Operating Era

The CertainTeed Roxboro NC plant is one of CertainTeed’s Southeast U.S. fiber-cement siding and building-products manufacturing sites, producing fiber-cement siding, trim, and related exterior building products for residential and commercial construction markets. According to publicly filed asbestos litigation records, product lines associated with CertainTeed’s Roxboro-area operations and Southeast asbestos-cement footprint allegedly included asbestos-cement siding shingle and roofing production during the U.S. asbestos era.
